Preliminary results of alternative treatment for postmastectomy pain syndrome: stromal vascular fraction-enriched fat grafting

چکیده
Postmastectomy pain syndrome (PMPS) is defined as chronic lasting more than 3 months after surgery. PMPS reduces the quality of life for patients and affects their daily life. Although pathogenesis has not been clearly elucidated, it strongly suggestive neuropathic caused by damage to intercostobrachial nerve. While previous studies have used stromal vascular fraction (SVF)-enriched fat grafts in with neuralgia, few PMPS. Therefore, present study evaluated use SVF-enriched fat, which includes adipose-derived stem cells good differentiation capacity, improve reduce pain. In three patients, was mixed concentrated SVF using a centrifuge injected into primary sites. After surgery, all cases, subjective scale score decreased significantly over time.

Functional and Aesthetic Recovery of Congenital Muscular Torticollis with Intramuscular Stromal Vascular Fraction Enriched Fat Grafting
Congenital muscular torticollis is a well-known pathological condition caused by the contracture and shortening of the sternocleidomastoid muscle. This condition is manifested by a neck postural deformity often accompanied by some kind of facial asymmetry. Once diagnosed, treatment by early physiotherapy is generally successful in a high percentage of patients if performed during the first year...
متن کاملOutcome of Stromal Vascular Fraction-Enriched Fat Grafting Compared to Intramuscular Transposition in Painful End-Neuromas of Superficial Radial Nerve: Preliminary Results
Introduction The management of painful end-neuromas of the superficial branch of the radial nerve (SBRN) remains challenging due to high levels of pain relapse. The novel technique of stromal vascular fraction (SVF)-enriched fat grafting showed continuous pain relief, although failed to prove statistically significant. Besides acting as a mechanical barrier, SVF-enriched fat grafting might also...
متن کاملBreast Reconstruction with Enhanced Stromal Vascular Fraction Fat Grafting: What Is the Best Method?
BACKGROUND Actually, there are 2 main methods to obtain stromal vascular fraction (SVF): enzymatic digestion and mechanical filtration; however, the available systems report heterogeneous and sometimes not univocal results. The aim of this study is to evaluate different procedures for SVF isolation and compare their clinical efficacy in the treatment of soft-tissue defects in plastic and recons...
متن کاملSafety of stromal vascular fraction cells applications in chronic pain
Autologous stromal vascular fraction (SVF) can be enzymatically released from lipoaspirate obtained under local anesthesia. SVF is known to have regenerative, anti-inflammatory, pain mitigating, and immune-modulatory properties. Our translational research network has been studying the safety and efficacy of SVF since 2012. Almost 100 related physician teams around the world are applying the sam...
متن کاملSequelae of Fat Grafting Postmastectomy: An Algorithm for Management of Fat Necrosis
OBJECTIVE Fat grafting is used to improve the reconstructed breast. Local recurrences following mastectomy present as palpable subcutaneous nodules; fat necrosis/oil cysts, a sequelae of fat grafting, also present as subcutaneous nodules. Our objective was to examine the frequency and factors associated with fat necrosis in the postmastectomy reconstructed breast and propose an algorithm for ma...
